We’re proud to offer a vibrant and inclusive space for women of all skill levels to enjoy the great game of cricket.
Whether you’re new to the sport or a seasoned player, Bannockburn Cricket Club provides a supportive environment where you can improve your skills, build lasting friendships, and be part of a passionate cricket community.
Training will be fun, structured, and purposeful. Every effort will be made to make sure activities are planned to honour your time commitment and make sure you get something out of each session.
In turn we ask that you honour your teammates by turning up each week on time ready to train, bringing a positive attitude, helping each other, and celebrating together.
The only way to improve is to practice and we want to ensure we are practicing the right skills for each player, if you want to work on something please bring it up so we can plan accordingly
I spent my own short (in years and time at the crease) cricket career in Newcastle. I transitioned to coaching in Point Cook when my daughter took up cricket, moving on to senior women a few years ago when that was the next step on her pathway.
While I have been happy to celebrate 4 finals appearances, along with a minor premiership and grand final appearance, for the girls and ladies I have coached over the past 5 years; I have most enjoyed seeing players come back year after year and improve to the point that they are coaching and supporting others.
I have been a part of a club that saw 2 junior girls sides grow to 5 and a ladies program built from these into 2 solid teams competing in both local and the Cricket Victoria competitions and earn the Cricket Victoria community club of the year last year.
When our family decided to move to Bannockburn, I was very excited to see the club advertise for a new senior Women’s coach this year. Especially from a club where the philosophy was so compatible with my own.
