Finn Peel

Head Coach & 1st XI Captain

Firstly, I want to say thank you to everyone for last year, it was a thoroughly enjoyable one for me.

Moving forward, there are changes coming to our club. I will go through these in more detail at a later date with consultation from the leadership team. However, there are two main focuses as coach I want to share with you:

Culture

I am eager to build on the family club aspect, which was so strong last year, every decision that is made comes with the foremost objective of continuing to promote an environment where everyone is safe and welcome.

Success

I believe that success is a by-product of culture. It is time to put some further emphasis on success though, finding that balance with other priorities.

Finally, as always, I welcome feedback as a coach, when brought to me cordially. I hope you can see the effort we are going to; we continue to try our best to make this club as good as it can be.

Xavier Thomson

Assistant Coach (Turf)

As the Assistant Coach for Bannockburn CC’s 1st & 2nd XI (turf teams), Xav’s role is critical in ensuring the team is well  prepared, motivated and cohesive.

My strengths

Preparation, consistent communication, performance analysis, and facilitating team discussions. Like other club leaders Xav is approachable and his main goals include nurturing growth and development of individuals within the club.

Bevan Studd

Assistant Coach (Hard Wicket)

Bevan is one of the Assistant Coaches for the upcoming season following his successful season as a captain last year.

He will take charge of the hard wicket section, involved in tactical and leadership discussions focused on the 3rd and 4th XI.

My Role

Emphasising junior development, he is one of the first points of contact for junior players who play in the senior program. Bevan’s role will extend beyond the hard wicket teams, an asset for all players and is an approachable leader at the club.
